Container OS Architecture

Standardized electromechanical platform for ISO 20ft high-cube shipping containers. 380VDC backbone (ETSI EN 300 132-3). Cassette + backplane architecture: 4 base slots (A-Power, B-Control, C-HVAC, D-Comms) + 2 application slots (E, F).

HVAC Tiered Cooling

Three-tier HVAC reduces energy 40-70% annually. Tier 1: Thermosiphon (passive, <15°C ambient). Tier 2: Economizer (fan only, 15-25°C). Tier 3: Compressor (full mechanical, >25°C). COP formula: rated_COP × (1 - 0.018 × (T_ambient - 35)).

Cascade Failure Defense

Three layers of defense against HVAC failure. Layer 1: Auto load-shed (5s) — contactors drop payload. Layer 2: Emergency ventilation (10s) — spring-loaded damper + DC fan. Layer 3: Equipment thermal mass — 500kg of steel/copper provides 14× the thermal capacitance of air alone.

  • Cables — 3 segregated cable tray zones with separation gaps
